Sierra Youth Sports is proud to announce we are starting our very own adult slow pitch softball league! We all spend a lot of time and energy making sure our kids have a great childhood, but it's time for the adults to take back the field!
This will be a coed, adult (18 and over) slow pitch softball league.
Games: Games will be 1 hour, on Friday afternoons or Sundays, starting early June, and ending in August. The season will end with a Saturday tournament!
Teams: Teams will be a minimum of 10, maximum of 16 players plus a playing manager. 10 players play on defense, including one rover (must be female.)
A minimum of 8 defensive players is required on each team to play the game. A maximum of 5 males is allowed on the field at one time. The complete roster bats on offense. There will be two lineups, one males and one females, and the batting order will alternate between male and female. For a complete list of rules, see the link to the left.
Registration:
Create A Team
(1) Login in to SierraYouthSports.com
(2) Click Volunteer on the left pane, under My Account
(3) Click +Find Volunteer Roles under your name
(4) Select Adult Slow Pitch Coed Softball, (if it doesn't show up at first, click Show All Available Opportunities, click Coed Team, then View Selected Opportunities)
(5) Select Head Coach, then create your team name and click Continue
(6) Fill in all your information, sign and accept the waivers, and check out. The cost is $500 per team. Once you're finished, you will receive a prompt to send an invite players, which will include your team code. Players will need this to join your team.
(7) to navigate back to this page to send an invite at anytime, just login, click on Volunteer and under My Roles & Certificates you will see a button to send an invite to your team.
Player Register to a Team
(1) Follow the link in the email from your coach to sign up to his/her team. You may need the team code which is in the email.
(2) To sign up without the email link, navigate to Registration Info, Available Programs, and Register. Follow the prompts and enter the team code when asked. There is no cost when joining the team as a player, since the coach has already paid the $500 registration.
